CONTACT
This program will emphasize game philosophy, rules, role of the referee. Participants will learn basic skills progressing to full contact. The coaching team has an internationally diverse Rugby background, providing vast experience and a range of styles, with more than 100 years of aggregated playing time. (Mouth guards are required, head guards are recommended). This Spring the Contact group will have matches against a team from New Jersey and Greenwich High School.
TOUCH
Participants will be introduced to the basic elements of rugby, including the rules and philosophy of the game and develop the initial skills of a young player. This will include running, passing, evading, handling, kicking, and tag (which replaces tackling). Mouth guard required. . .
